HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) FULLTIME PROGRAMMES 2011/2012 SESSION

Application are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the federal polytechnic ilaro for full time programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications in the following programmes

SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCE

2 Years Full-Time Higher National Diploma in:

· Computer Science

· Food Technology

· Science Laboratory Technology with option in Chemistry

· Office Technology and Management(Secretarial Studies)

· Hospitality Management (Hotel and Catering Management)

SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

2 Years Full-Time Higher National Diploma in:

2 Years Full-Time Higher National Diploma in:

HND ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Applicants seeking HND Admission must process:

· A good National Diploma not below Lower Credit and basic requirements for National Diploma Programme.

· A minimum of One Calendar year Post National Diploma relevant Industrial Experience.

· Academic Transcript which should be sent by the student’s last institution under confidential cover to the registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. NO

CANDIDATE WILL BE REGISTERED BEFORE THE RECIEPT OF THE ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT

· A good performance at the screening exercise to be conducted by the polytechnic.

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Candidates seeking for admission into Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has required to complete the institution application form available online at: www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng

PRODEDURE FOR OBTAINING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Scratch card containing the application PIN for the online Application form and a copy of the polytechnic prospectus are obtained from any of the under listed sales outlets upon payment of the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (10,000:00) only.

In addition a commission of Five Hundred Naira (500.00) only is to be paid at the sales outlet.

INSTRCUTION TO CANDIDATES

Scratch carefully the grey panel area on the scratch card to reveal the application PIN NUMBER.

The PIN provides access to completing the application online and proceeds as follows:-

· Log on to www.federalployilaro.edu.ng

· Click on “College Portal” on the main menu

· Scroll down to “New Applications”

· Click on “Start a New Application”

· Fill in your Personal data and select your programme of choice

· Enter the PIN and click on “Apply Now”

· Take note of the “APPLICATION FORM NUMBER” assigned by the portal as you will require it subsequently to resume any unfinished application

· Complete the form as applicable

· Scan and paste a colour passport size photograph in the space provided on the online form

· Confirm and submit, Print a copy of the completed Application Form

SCREENING EXERCISE

Candidate seeking admission into ND (Part-Time) and HND (Full-Time) pogramme will appear for screening exercise after the close of the sales of admission forms. The dates for the screening exercise will be Tuesday 30^th August, 2011 for National Diploma Candidates and Thursday 1^st September 2011 for Higher National Diploma candidates 10.00am prompt.

Venue of the screening exercise is the polytechnic West Campus.
