How to Get More Visitors Your Blog
Follow these simple steps to promote your blog. These days it seems as though everyone has a blog and everyone is blogging. And really when you think about it, why not? Blogs are a great way to express yourself and they also represent a great way for you to get your website name and your business name out there for the world to see. If you have recently started a blog you are probably wondering what are some easy ways to promote it.
Luckily promoting your blog takes little more than some of your time and some of your imagination. There are simply countless ways in which you can effectively promote your blog and some ways will of course be better than others. Some ways will also be more ethical than others and these are of course the ones you will want to stick with. Here are some of the easiest and best ways to promote your blog:
- Start with Who You Know: To begin with, who do you know? Over the years you are sure to have amassed a large number of contacts in your e-mail box and these friends and colleagues are the perfect place for you to start promoting your blog. One well crafted e-mail is all it takes and once it is blasted out to your ‘inner circle’ the blog views will begin. If they like what they see ask them to share the information with their friends and colleagues and before you know it, your blog is getting plenty of eyeballs.
- Get Social: Social media websites are a must when you are promoting your blogs. You can use sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to easily and quickly promote your blog to all of those within your network. To do this all you have to do is come up with a clever tag line and place it on your wall, Tweet it, or share it on LinkedIn and have that link directly to your blog. Again, if people like what they see then you can be sure that they will tell others.
- Bookmark it: Another great trick you can use to promote your blog is to use social bookmarking websites such as Delicious. Use your best posts here and once they are up there is a very good chance that someone will happen upon them. Another site that is popular to use for blog promotion is StumbleUpon. While some frown at posting your own work, if it is good stuff then nobody will care who posted it. Again with StumbleUpon you will want to use only your best posts.
While there are many other ways to promote your blog, these three are probably the easiest and fastest way to get the ball rolling on your blog traffic. Once you begin to get a good number of eyes on your blog, as long as the content is worthy, it may catch on and go viral. If that happens then all you have to do is continue to post quality blogs that are both insightful and relevant to what it is you are doing online, then the sky’s the limit.
