Nigeria’s premier electronic transaction switching and payment processing company, InterSwitch, becomes the first e-payment provider to roll out a robust value added service platform, Quickteller, on all its payment channels across the country. The Quickteller service platform provides airtime recharge and utility bills payment across all its channels including ATMs, Web, Mobile, PoS etc, in order to enable cardholders and partners derive better value out of their existing investments. Currently, there are over 30 million cardholders, of which majority mainly carry out cash withdrawals via ATMs. Explaining how the service works, Mr. Mitchell Elegbe, the Chief Executive of the company, said Quickteller platform has been specially developed and designed based on market requirements and the desire to bring more value to partners  and cardholders on the InterSwitch network. According to him, the benefits of Quickteller to the cardholders and its partners include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, accessibility and payment.
