23 Nov 2010 - Oando PLC, a major player in Nigeria's energy sector has announced that it is seeking young dynamic and talented graduates for its Oando Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP). Oando’s GTP opportunity is in line with the growing trend of organizations offering young graduates learning and working opportunities for a specific period of time.

The way the programme is described Oando aims to build these young leaders up with what it considers to be the right professionals and soft skills.

Competitive GTP

As expected the selection and recruitment process will be competitive and shortlisted candidates will go through what Oando describes as a structured comprehensive training programme. The programme will involve formal and on the job learning at selected work locations and offices of Oando.

Again as is the norm with Graduate Trainee Programmes, only candidates who do well and meet Oando’s standards during the inhouse training program designed for the GTP will be offered permanent positions within the company.

Here are the requirements as stated by the Oando Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) Nigeria

Requirements.
Prospective candidates will be professional, passionate. ambitious and able to demonstrate a high level of integrity. They will be team players, who exhibit a high level of respect and must possess the following:

Bachelor or Masters Degree with minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2.1) any discipline.
NYSC Discharge Certificate.

Minimum of 5. B's AND 2 'C's in WASC, SSCE OR GCE 'O' Level in one sitting, which must include Mathematics and English.

Age: Not older than 25 years by the 31st of December, 2010.

The programme is open only to graduates who obtained their Bachelor degree in the last four years.
