ADMISSION ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2011/2012
ACADEMIC SESSION
1.1 UTME ADMISSIONS
1.11 Candidate must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and attain an
acceptable mark in the use of English (Compulsory) and three subjects relevant to the
proposed course of study.
1.12 Candidate must in addition to attaining an acceptable mark in the Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME), obtain five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at one or two
sittings.
1.13 Candidates without credit pass in Chemistry at O’ Level cannot apply for any Agricultural,
Engineering or Science courses.
1.14 A credit pass in Biology is required for courses in Science/Engineering Programmes,
Nutrition & Dietetics and Home Science Management.
1.15 Candidate with a pass in Biology may be accepted for Agricultural Programme, provided
he/she has a credit pass in Agricultural Science.
1.16 Pass in Physics is acceptable for Agricultural Programme only.
1.17 Candidates who applied for Water Resources Management and Agro-meteorology must in
addition possess credit pass in Geography.
Other Information
Any Candidate, whose score is not high enough to qualify him/her for the chosen course, may be
considered for other courses provided there are vacancies.
The University reserves the right to withdraw at any time, admission offers made, if it is discovered
that the entry qualification(s) on which the admission was based, are false or incomplete.
2.1 DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSIONS
2.11 Holders of the following qualifications may be considered for Direct Entry (DE):
OND/HND (Distinction/Upper Credit) and NCE (Distinction/Credit) in Agriculture and
Sciences
2.12 All Candidates are required to possess at least five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO Credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
2.13 Candidates without credit pass in Chemistry at O’ Level cannot apply for any Agricultural,
Engineering or Science courses.
2.14 A credit pass in Biology is required for courses in Science/Engineering Programmes,
Nutrition & Dietetics and Home Science Management.
2.15 Candidate with a pass in Biology may be accepted for Agricultural Programme, provided
he/she has a credit pass in Agricultural Science.
2.16 Pass in Physics is acceptable for Agricultural Programme only.

2.18 Academic transcript should be forwarded to The Ag. Registrar, University of Agriculture,
Abeokuta, P. M. B. 2240, Abeokuta.
3.1 MANAGEMENT SCIENCES COURSES (UTME ADMISSIONS ONLY)
UNAAB now offers degree courses in Management Sciences in the following disciplines:
(i) Bachelor of Science in Accounting
(ii) Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance
(iii) Bachelor of Science in Enterprise Management
(iv) Bachelor of Science in Economics
3.11 Candidates must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and attain an
acceptable mark in the use of English (Compulsory) and any three relevant subjects to the
proposed course of study.
3.12 Interested candidates who have not chosen the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
(UNAAB) as First or Second Choice (most preferred institution) can apply.
3.13 Candidates must in addition to attaining an acceptable mark in the Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME), obtain five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other two relevant subject at one
or two sittings.
REGISTRATION BY UPLOADING OF INFORMATION ON BIODATA
AND RESULTS FOR 2011/2012 UNDERGRADUATE
ADMISSION
1. MODE OF REGISTRATION
(i) Candidates who chose University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) as First and/or Second
choice University and sat for 2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on
Saturday, 18th June, 2011 are invited to register on-line for consideration of admission to 100
level in 2011/2012 Academic Session.
Candidates applying for admission into any undergraduate programmes in Agricultural,
Engineering or Science courses must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes at one
or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO, which must include credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Chemistry and other Science subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.
(ii) Direct Entry Candidates who have applied to JAMB for admission to University of Agriculture,
Abeokuta (UNAAB) are also invited to register on-line for admission to 200/300 level.
(iii) Senate of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) has approved new programmes in
Management Sciences for commencement in the 2011/2012 Academic Session.
The University, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who sat for 2011
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and are interested in seeking admission
into any of the following Programmes:
a. Bachelor of Science in Accounting
b. Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance
c. Bachelor of Science in Business Enterprise Management
d. Bachelor of Science in Economics
Candidates must possess minimum entry requirement of five (5) O’Level credit passes at one or
two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and
other two relevant subjects.
METHOD OF REGISTRATION
(i) Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of One Thousand Naira
(N1,000.00) only into one of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) accounts
given below in all branches nationwide of Zenith Bank Plc. or Guaranty Trust Bank Plc that
is of proximity to them to purchase of Personal Identification Number (PIN) required to login
to UNAAB website for registration.
UNAAB Account Numbers to pay into are:
(ii) Candidates should note that they are to collect payment tellers for their Personal
Identification Number (PIN) from designated banks.

(iii) Purchase of access PIN commences from Monday 25th July, 2011 and ends on Monday 8th
August, 2011.
(iv) Candidates are required to register on-line at www.unaab.edu.ng by using their purchased
access PIN to upload their Bio-Data, O’Level results, UTME subjects scores and recent
coloured passport photograph (not more than 6months old).
(v) On uploading the coloured passport photograph, a candidate is expected to first preview,
confirm, submit and print out immediately an acknowledgment sheet showing his/her
photograph.
(vi) No complaint of wrong or blank picture will be entertained after submission.
(vii) Candidates awaiting results can also register provided there is an assurance that such results
would be uploaded on or before 31st August, 2011.

POST-UTME FOR 2011/2012 ACADEMIC SESSION
Candidates who have applied for admission to the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
(UNAAB) are invited to visit the University website www.unaab.edu.ng for details of the
procedure for the Post UTME Exercise.
UNAAB Post UTME is slated for on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th August, 2011 at the
University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) permanent site along Alabata Road, Abeokuta.
Candidates who applied for placement into 100 Level and have scored 180marks and above in
2011 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible for the Post UTME. They
must have also uploaded their Bio-data and O’Level results as earlier requested on or before 8th
August, 2011.
Candidates applying for newly floated Management Sciences Courses are to sit for Post UTME.
DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES ARE NOT TO SIT FOR POST UTME, PLEASE NOTE
Registration for Post UTME attracts a non-refundable fee of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only.
Candidates are to pay into one of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) accounts given
below in all branches nationwide of Zenith Bank Plc. or Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. that is of proximity to

Candidate’s time schedule and venue for the Post UTME would be provided on login into the
University website www.unaab.edu.ng with the Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Examination commences at 7.30a.m. each day.
Each candidate has been scheduled for specific time and day which he/she is advised to strictly
adhere to.
